This spring storm bringing heavy snowfall to Colorado is having a big impact on the closing date for ski resorts.
and announced Tuesday plans to reopen this Friday through Sunday, April 19-21. Both resorts had just celebrated the end of their ski seasons on Sunday, April 14.
Ski bums can thank the recent heavy snowfall for keeping resorts open. Vail 2 feet of snow since closing day and Breckenridge 16 inches.
The spring storm is also delaying the closing of many other resorts.
