The Colorado Associated Press Broadcasters Association has recognized the »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ· Newsroom with 11 awards for excellence.
Under the guidance of News Director Brian Larson, the »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ· news room received first place awards for Outstanding News Operation for coverage of last summer’s and .
Reporters Grace Hood and Nathan Heffel were each singled out with Best Reporter awards.
Hood also won and place awards in the Best Investigative Reporting category for stories examining issues with online education in the state.
Heffel won first place awards in the and categories. »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ· received the awards in the Large/Medium Market category for work that was produced in 2012.
The »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ· news department has also been recognized this year with three awards from the and five regional awards from the Radio Television Digital News Association.
